Web accessibility statement

Proper House Group and its restaurants, including Rooster & the Till, are committed to making our websites accessible to people with disabilities. Every guest deserves equal access to information about our restaurants, menus, events, and services, whatever technology or assistive tools they use.

Standard we follow

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines ask that content be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, refreshable Braille displays, or other assistive technology.

What we've done on this site

  • All of our menus are on the page as text with a clear heading structure. Nothing is locked inside an image or a PDF.
  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "skip to main content" link.
  • Each page has one main heading and a descriptive page title.
  • Text and buttons meet WCAG AA color contrast.
  • Photos have text descriptions. Purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Links that open a new tab say so to screen readers.
  • The layout works on phones and when text is enlarged up to 200 percent, and it respects reduced motion settings.

Third-party services

Reservations (OpenTable), event requests (Tripleseat), and gift cards (Toast) are run by outside companies. We can't control the accessibility of their tools, but we choose partners who take accessibility seriously and we push for fixes when we find barriers. If one of these tools doesn't work for you, call us at (813) 374-8940 and we'll take care of it by phone.

Feedback and contact

If you run into a barrier, have trouble with any content, or need information in another format, please tell us. We aim to respond within two business days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the U.S. Department of Justice ADA Information Line: voice 1-800-514-0301, TTY 1-800-514-0383, or online at ada.gov (opens in a new tab).

Review schedule

We review this statement at least every 12 months and after any significant change to the site, and we audit the site periodically to find and fix issues.
